Clarinet Choir [MUSC 112/212/312/412 (005)]

MUSC 112/212/312/412 (005)/1.5 Clarinet Choir

Director, Kornel Wolak

Mid-size ensemble experience for qualified performers. Course includes weekly rehearsals of a wider variety of repertoire and a minimum of one concert per term for all students. Credit attained only with regular attendance, active participation, and ample preparation.

In previous seasons the choir engaged in multimedia collaborative projects between Music and Drama departments. It led to some
of the most innovative programing, such as the project called “Shadows and Winds” that involved the class of puppetry.

In the upcoming 2022-23 season, we will premiere two brand new creations by our own student-composers: Josh Hurst and Freddy Baker. In this production, the composers will explore new ways of using the ensemble incorporating stage movement, lighting, and spoken word as tool for artistic expression. We are very excited about premiering their works. So, please come and join us in this new and powerful undertaking!
