Barbara Bolte - Piano / Yamaha Music Education Instructor

 

Barbara specializes in teaching music to beginners of all ages. She holds an RCM Certificate in Elementary Piano Pedagogy, a B. Mus. Honours Degree from University of Toronto and a post-graduate Diploma from the Musikhochschule in Freiburg, Germany.  She has many years experience teaching piano privately, and has been teaching the Yamaha Music Education system at QCM for the past 10 years. 

Barbara is the former principal oboe of the Kingston Symphony and was the adjunct oboe professor at Queens University until 2017. Her career as a professional oboist and musician in both Europe and Canada informs her musical sensibilities with which she endeavours to inspire her students. Her greatest passion is sharing music with others and awakening her students' own love of and ability to create music.


 

 


Grace Pham - Piano / Yamaha Music Education Instructor

Grace Pham began her musical studies age four in the Yamaha Music Education system in Toronto. She graduated from Queen’s University with a Bachelor of Music and went on to receive her Bachelor of Education, also at Queen’s. In 2012, Grace earned her A.R.C.T. in Elementary Piano Pedagogy, and is currently pursuing her A.R.C.T. in Piano Performance.

Grace has been actively teaching in the Kingston community since 2008, and currently maintains a busy private studio instructing piano, music theory and history to students of all ages and levels. She is an active member of ORMTA and also teaches in the Limestone District School Board.

In addition, Grace is a collaborative pianist for the Kingston Youth Choir and occasionally collaborates with She Sings!
