Jennifer Tindale – Teaching Consultant (Cello)

Jennnifer Tindale began playing cello at the age of 10 when her father, a lutier and local music teacher, presented her with a cello. A love for the instrument quickly developed. She studied cello with Robert Dodson at Queens University where she received a Bachelor of Music and a Bachelor of Education. Music has taken a major role in her life. She is a member of the Kingston Symphony Orchestra. She has served as first cellist for Kingston Community Strings, Kingston Community Orchestra, and Quinte Community Orchestra. Small ensembles such as 13! A String Ensemble and quartets are part of her playing experience. Many years were spent as a school teacher both in Elementary and Secondary, finishing her teaching career as a grade three teacher. She conducted Choirs, Orchestras and Orff ensembles, participating annually in the Kiwanis Festival. Lately conducting has become a focus with the Kingston Community Strings. Retirement has afforded her more time to focus on a love of cello and all things musical.
