Kip Pegley recently contributed a chapter to a new undergraduate textbook entitled Music and War in the United States (Routledge, 2019). The authors included in this volume explore the importance of music in conflicts spanning from the American Revolution to the Iraq War and Kip’s chapter, entitled “The War on Terror: Beyond 9/11,” examines some of the short- and long-term implications of 9/11 on American popular music.
