MUSC 112/212/312/412 (002)/1.5 Polyhymnia Chamber Choir

Director, Darrell Christie

The Queen’s University Polyhymnia Chamber Choir is open to the entire Queen’s Community.

In line with our return to campus plan, we are planning for all choirs/vocal ensembles to take place in-person this upcoming year, while adhering to all public health guidelines.

This medium-sized, advanced ensemble, conducted by Darrell Christie, is open to soprano and alto voices.

This ensemble rehearses throughout the year (September to April), performing several public concerts annually. The ensemble has had the opportunity to collaborate with many musical groups, including, most recently, a chance to rehearse and perform with the Canadian Chamber Choir. The ensemble regularly premieres new works with a focus on Canadian music and has worked with many composers over the past five years. The ensemble regularly performs at Queen’s University Remembrance Day Services and has also presented music at important Queen’s events, such as the installation of our Principle and Chancellor.
