About

Polyhymnia is open to the entire Queen’s community. A small choir of approximately 30 women’s voices, for experienced choral singers. Members will rehearse weekly and perform at least two concerts a year.   

Auditions

Mon Sept 11, 6:30-9:30pm, Rm 120, HLH. (All members of the ensemble, new or returning, will attend a vocal assessment to determine range and voice part)

Rehearsals

Tuesdays, 6:30-9:30 pm, Isabel Rehearsal Hall

Vocal Assessment for All Members 

TBA in September. This year all members of the ensemble will attend a vocal assessment to determine range and voice part. 

Vocal Assessment Requirements

Please prepare a song of your choice to be sung a cappella. Please be prepared to complete a short sight singing test.

Fees

Students participating in this ensemble are financially responsible for the replacement cost of any lost or unreturned music. Students who are not enrolled for credit or audit must pay a $50 fee to participate in this ensemble. This fee goes to support the purchase of music for the Choral Library.
