Percussion Techniques and Methods [MUSC 287]

MUSC 287/3.0

 

Percussion techniques will focus on the technique and skills required for the music educator that will be teaching instrumental music. The main focus will be on snare technique with an additional focus on mallet percussion, timpani and the smaller hand percussion instruments. 

For this term the primary performance instrument will be the snare drum,  Students will be required to provide their own drum sticks and drum pad.

Additional class time will be devoted to independent projects.
