Established in May 2014 by Dr. Sherry L. Dupuis, B.Mus. 1985, and Dr. Bryan Smale in honour of their dear friend and mentor, Kenneth G. Murray, for his commendable volunteer and philanthropy work dedicated to enhancing the quality of life and wellbeing of individuals and communities. The award celebrates students who are using their musical talents and gifts to make a difference in the lives of others. Awarded to students in a Bachelor of Music or Bachelor of Arts (Honours) with a major or medial plan in music. Awarded on the basis of demonstrated leadership, and volunteer community involvement in the development or provision of music outreach, through program or activity organization, coaching, or mentorship. Selection will be made by the Scholarship Committee of the School of Music. Applicants are to submit a letter of application, resume and two letters of reference to the School of Music by 15 April. Award: $1000.00.
