Celebration of Life

Date

Saturday March 23, 2024
3:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Celebration of Life is a digital media showcase of MAPP 400 students, presenting an array of creative projects that explore various dimensions of the human experience through the lens of emerging digital media technologies. In this exhibition, students honour the legacies of their cherished family members and connections, celebrate cultural traditions, and explore the dynamics of community engagement. Moreover, they navigate personal struggles with mental health, striving to reconcile their authentic selves with societal expectations. Through 13 distinct digital media installations and performances, including video projection, augmented reality (AR), and virtual reality (VR), these artistic endeavours offer a meaningful reflection on life's multifaceted journey. We invite you to join us in this celebration, as we contemplate our own narratives and embrace the richness of human existence. Statement by Jung-Ah Kim
