Why study Media and Performance Production at Queen's?

The Bachelor of Arts in Media and Performance Production (MAPP) is a 4-year Honours degree offered in partnership with the Film and Media Department. In this specialization program, students focus on Drama or Music along with Media Production, and the intersection of media production and embodied arts.

As a student in this program, you will have the opportunity to explore the creation of multidisciplinary art projects and examine the role of various media forms and digital technologies in preparing and presenting creative work. The Media and Performance Production courses cover a diverse range of experimental storytelling and performance practices, which may involve crafting interactive and immersive narratives using physical objects and spaces or augmented and virtual reality technologies. Additionally, you will work on digital performance projects combined with live or recorded music and video projection. These studies can be complemented with other courses in Drama, Music, Music Theatre, and Film & Media. Find the degree structure here on the Academic Calendar.

You can also pursue a Concurrent Education degree or a Certificate in Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Creativity (QEIC-ENIN) along with the Bachelor of Arts in Media and Performance Production (MAPP).
