Flute Choir: MUSC 112, 212, 312, 412/1.5 units
Director - Sarah Yunji Moon
Performance experience for flute students in a medium-sized ensemble of 6-20 players. Course includes weekly rehearsals of a wide variety of repertoire for flute, rotating through members of the flute instrument family (including orchestral flute, piccolo, alto flute, and bass flute). This course will involve a minimum of one concert per term for all students enrolled.
Students in this course will increase their familiarity with flute genres, repertoire, and rehearsal techniques, for use in performance or educational settings. There is an expectation of both in-class participation and significant preparation of repertoire outside of class. Rehearsals and performances will build participants’ experience in group music-making towards a desired artistic outcome as well as build leadership experience within larger settings.
NOTE: Students will be registered into the course number that matches their current level of study. (i.e: if a student is in third year they will be registered in MUSC 312).
