Katie Legere

Katie Legere performs with the Kingston Symphony, which she joined in 1993, on bassoon, contrabassoon and saxophone. She performed with the Toronto Philharmonia from 1995 to 2002 as well as the National Arts Centre Orchestra, Toronto Symphony, Le Violons de Roy, Ottawa Symphony, National Academy Orchestra, Windsor Symphony, and Ohio Light Opera Orchestra.

Performance highlights include:

2017, Faculty Artist Series presents: Chamber Music For Piano And Winds with Dina Namer, piano; Donelda Gartshore, flute; Barbara Bolte, oboe; Gordon Craig, clarinet; and Neil Spaulding, French Horn.

2016, Sweetwater Festival (Owen Sound) with James Campbell, Steve Dann, Meredith Hall and the Gryphon Trio to present David Braid’s Corona Divinae Misericordiae (Chaplet of the Divine Mercy) under conductor Nicholas Michael Smith.

Katie has degrees in music (Queen’s University and University of Toronto), Education (Queen’s), Computing (Queen’s) and Master’s degrees in Computing and Business (Queen’s). She has presented her research in the sonification of data both nationally and internationally. She is also a certified Business Analyst.
