Current Barefoot Players

Grace Delamere (she/her)

Hi everyone! My name is Grace Delamere.

I am so excited to be a Barefoot Player this year! I love performing and music and can’t wait to share our show with you. I am going into my third year of joint honours in Drama and Music, as well as being in Concurrent Education. I have performed as Cosette in Les Misérables, a ghost bride in The Addams Family, and a variety of other characters in my bathroom mirror ;) I have been writing songs and plays since I was in the fifth grade, and it’s my favourite thing to do! See you all soon!

Kate Greening (she/her)

Heyo, I’m Kate! I’m a Drama and Music joint honours student going into my fourth year at Queen’s. I’m from a little town called Forest (I promise it's a town and not a literal forest). Growing up I always loved to perform and make people laugh! This has led me to my passion for theatre and music! I love being silly, playing goofy characters, trying new instruments (but don’t bet on me being good at all of them!), and working at camp! I’ve worked at many camps as a camp counsellor and even was the program coordinator for a camp last year! So, I’m very excited to bring my love for summer camp and theatre together with Barefoot Players! Can't wait to Barefoot Play this summer!

Kaylee Simões (she/her)

Hello! My name is Kaylee Simões and I am beyond excited to be a Barefoot Player this year! I am going into my third year at Queen’s, studying Drama / English as well as Concurrent Education in hopes to one day become a drama teacher. I am so excited to combine my love for teaching and performance together in this company! I have been doing theatre my entire life, gaining experience at both a local and professional level. I specialize in performance, specifically musical theatre, and I have lots of experience working in theatre production. Kingston is very different from my small town of St. Thomas, so I am super excited to have the opportunity to work with, teach, and perform for the community this summer!

Kyra Mevis (they/them)

Hi friends! My name is Kyra (pronounced KEEEra). I’m a fourth year Concurrent Education Drama and English student at Queen’s. I grew up in The Netherlands, moved to a small Ontario town named Petrolia, and now I’m here!! Compared to Petrolia, Kingston is HUMONGOUS. I started doing theatre in high school and fell in love with it <3 I love writing shows, doing tech, and performing. Making people laugh is my favourite! I’ve been doing summer camp and working with kids for years and years, so I’m excited to mash those two things together. Summer camp AND theatre WHOA WHAT!?!? I am SO SO excited to sing, dance, and laugh with you all this summer!!!
