The Medium Ensembles Concert features the Percussion Ensemble, Flute Choir, Clarinet Choir, and Cello Ensembles.
The Percussion Ensemble will perform three selections for mallet ensemble and percussion, including:
Marimbist's Vacation, Leroy Anderson arr. G Runions
An adaptation of the classic Trumpeter's Holiday by Leroy Anderson.
Featuring xylophone soloists, Hannah Singer, Noah Ullmann, Ethan Fong.
The Comedians, Dmitry Kabalevsky, arr. Sean Donaldson
Contemporary orchestral music transcribed for the mallet ensemble.
Foreign Objects, John Bergamo
A percussion ensemble classic repertoire as originally performed by the Repercussion Unit.
The Clarinet Choir will include:
Bach Goes To Town by Benny Goodman (arr. D. Debono)
Music for the Royal Fireworks by G. F. Haendel (arr. F. Baker)
Premieres of electro-acoustic compositions by students from MUSC 255
The Cello Ensemble performance will feature two new compositions by Nashville based cellist Carole Neuen-Rabinowitz and Thomas Albinoni's epic Adagio arranged for cello ensemble.
