As the Wardrobe Coordinator at the DAN School of Drama and Music, Marianna is responsible for managing over 6000 costumes as well as properties within the department. During the Fall and Winter Majors, Marianna supervises costume construction from start to finish helping to guiding students with budgeting, costume construction and fittings. She offers support and resources to students who designing costumes for DSS and DAN Expo productions. Throughout the year, the wardrobe department supply costumes and properties for copious courses withing the department for rehearsals and presentations. Under Marianna’s supervision, students gain practical experience in design as well as learn costume construction for professional theatre. Students enrolled in DRAM 242 spend time in the wardrobe learning basic sewing techniques needed to work in an entry level wardrobe position within the industry.

Marianna has worked in professional theatre for over 30 years in the capacity of Costume Designer, Head of Wardrobe, Wardrobe Assistant, Wig Design and Dresser. Recent and upcoming productions include Lancashire Lass, costume design (Watershed Festival – 2023 & 2022); Sweetheart, costume design (Queen’s - 2021); Goodbye Paris, costume design (Watershed Festival - 2019); Anne of Green Gables, wig design & wardrobe (Thousand Islands Playhouse 2019); Cyrano, head of wardrobe (St. Lawrence Shakespeare Festival 2019); Birds, costume coordinator (Queen’s 2018).
