Wynnpaul Varela

Wynnpaul Varela is the Research Manager of Rise, Shine, Sing!, the research-creation program of The Accessible & Inclusive Music Theatre Project led by Drs. Colleen Renihan and Julia Brook. He is also a Term Adjunct Professor and holds a PhD in Education from Concordia University in Montreal. His doctoral studies focused on music studio instruction and how individuals of different ages take ownership of their music learning. His research experience includes both quantitative and qualitative methodologies, as well as both systematic and scoping reviews.

Originally from the UK, Dr. Varela has lived and worked in England, France, and Japan, teaching in a wide range of educational settings.
