Dean Burry's new opera Il giudizio di Pigmalione (The Judgement of Pigmalione) received a fully staged world-premiere at McGill's Pollack Hall in Montreal on November 4, 2022. The piece was commissioned by COSI Canada and workshopped in Sulmona, Italy. It is a modern day reimagining of the Pigmalione myth dealing with issues of body shaming and misrepresentation of perfection within the Italian fashion industry.
