Prolific in the recording studio and ever-busy on the concert stage and as a teacher, Murray McLachlan is recognized as one of the finest pianists from the U.K. of his generation. He has had a rich and varied career as an international performer, recording artist, writer, lecturer and teacher of standing. Based in Manchester as Head of Keyboard at Chetham’s and tutor at RNCM, he is founder/artistic director of Chetham’s International Summer School and Festival for Pianists and has written three technique books (Faber Music).
