The Palenai Duo: In Memory of Michel Szczesniak

The Palenai Piano Duo of Joy Innis and Adrienne Shannon, joined by violinist, Gisèle Dalbec-Szczesniak, violist, Eileen Beaudette, and cellist, Jill Vitols, present a concert in memory of pianist, composer and DAN School faculty member, Michel Szczesniak.

The concert opens with works Michel wrote with his friends in mind, including his String Trio, Sonata for Cello and Piano, and Fanfare and Scherzo for Piano four-hands. Michel’s own recordings of his piano works will accompany a multimedia retrospective. The second half will present the monumental Sonata for Two Pianos Op. 34b by Brahms.
